
Are you someone who would like to give something back to the community? Your local fire
department is a great way to make friends, share knowledge, and become part of a
time-honored tradition. Being involved in the activity of the fire hall is helping us provide
the best service to the community.
Yes, the firefighter is the primary base for the Fire Company, however, it takes many
others to help with other duties within the company. Being a non-profit organization, we
rely on donations and our weekly Bingo to help raise the funds necessary to keep this
company running.
A person could apply as an Active or Business member to help with the fund-raising. We
only ask for a few hours out of the week. A few hours that could mean equipment that can
be repaired when needed and equipment that can be purchased when needed.
Equipment that may one day save your belongings!
One big benefit to joining the fire hall is that Allegheny County and the Community College
of Allegheny County have partnered up and are offering full scholarships to new and
veteran firefighters. This is a huge incentive and should you be thinking of enrolling at
CCAC, consider the joining the fire station to alleviate that financial stress!
